Calgary police investigate pedestrian hit on Stoney Trail, southbound road closed

A part of southbound Stoney Trail in northeast Calgary is closed Tuesday morning after a person walking along the road was hit by a vehicle.

EMS tells CityNews the person was taken to Foothills Hospital in critical condition after being hit early this morning.

They add the man — in his mid-20s to early 30s — was hit by a vehicle while walking on Stoney Trail between 96 Avenue and McKnight Boulevard.

Southbound Stoney Trail closed between Airport Trail and McKnight Boulevard as police continue to investigate.
