An apparent shooting early Wednesday morning is being investigated by Calgary police.
Alberta EMS says paramedics went to the scene outside a Safeway grocery store on 8 Street and 11 Avenue SW around 4:30 a.m. after reports that a man had been shot.
An adult was taken to Foothills Medical Centre in serious but otherwise stable condition.
Police say they continue to investigate exactly where and why the shooting happened, but they believe it wasn’t at the spot where the person was found.
