Calgary police have identified a man who was found dead in the city’s southwest last week.
Emergency crews were called to a home on Creekstone Drive SW in the Pine Creek community around 2:40 a.m. Friday for reports of someone in medical distress.
When police arrived they found a man in his 20s dead.
Following an autopsy, investigators say the cause of death is still unknown. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Louis “Trace” Shotbothsides.
“Investigators have been working tirelessly to determine the events leading up to the man’s death and are releasing the identity of the individual in hopes of generating further information,” reads a Monday release from police.
Police are asking anyone who was in contact with the victim before his death to reach out to them.
Investigators are also looking for dashcam footage from anyone who was near the 100 block of Creekstone Drive SW between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. on Friday night.
“At this point in the investigation, we still have many unanswered questions and are turning to the public for assistance,” says Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson in a statement.
