The first incident was first reported by the city just before 8:30 a.m., and the second at 8:45 a.m.
Eastbound traffic was affected in both the left and right-hand lanes.
The collision at 5 Avenue and 6 Street was cleared about 45 minutes after it was first reported.
In that case, Calgary police say a woman in her 30s sustained minor injuries and the driver stayed at the scene.
Investigators believe weather was a factor in the collision.
Carole Henke with Calgary Fire says the collision at 5 Avenue and 5 Street seems to be more serious, as fire crews assisted EMS.
CityNews has reached out to Alberta Health Services for information on the condition of the person.
Henke adds it’s important for drivers to clear all of the snow off their vehicles — even the roof — explaining it’s heavy and wet and tends to slide down onto the windshield and obstruct views.
