A woman from B.C. is facing charges in connection with a meat scam in Alberta last year.
Three Hills RCMP say officers started investigating a meat purchase scam in December 2023 involving a company called DBL Meats.
Police say the victims lost $60,000 through the scam.
Following an investigation, Mounties issued a warrant for the arrest of 36-year-old Penticton resident Krista-Lyn Williams.
Last Thursday, Williams was arrested in southern Ontario with the help of Ontario Provincial Police. She is charged with fraud over $5,000.
The accused is being brought to Alberta and will appear in an Airdrie courtroom this week.
