1 seriously injured in multi-vehicle crash on SE Calgary Deerfoot

A multi-vehicle crash has left one person with serious injuries on Deerfoot Trail in southeast Calgary Saturday.

It happened at around 12 p.m. on Deerfoot Trail on 24 Street going southbound.

Calgary police say it was a multi-vehicle crash and one person is seriously injured.

Officers tell 660 NewsRadio they believe at least three vehicles are involved. A caller to 660 NewsRadio says one of the vehicles involved is a motorcycle, but police weren’t able to confirm at this time.

This has led to road closures between Deerfoot Trail and 24 Street and Southland Drive and between Anderson Road and Barlow Trail.

Officers say the closures could last for several hours.
