Police have charged a man with arson after a residential explosion in Calgary.
Six people were sent to hospital Saturday night after the blast in the northeast part of the city destroyed several townhouses.
Fire officials said one of the victims was in life-threatening condition, while another was listed as serious.
Investigators say they believe the fire was intentionally set by using an accelerant, which then caused the explosion at Las Americas Villas.
Gavin Peter Robinson, 40, has also been charged with disregard for human life, and police say more charges are likely.
Robinson is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
