The Calgary police homicide unit is investigating what is believed to be a targeted shooting Friday night in the northeast community of Homestead.

Det. Jason Ip says police discovered the body of a man in the 200 block of Homestead Drive N.E. when they arrived on the scene at approximately 7:20 p.m.

Ip said suspects had fled the area before officers arrived.

He says police are collecting CCTV from the area and are urging anyone with information to call police at 403-266-1234.
