Calgary police investigating suspicious death in city’s southeast

The Calgary Police Service says homicide investigators are on scene of a suspicious death in the city’s southeast, according to a media release. 

At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, police were called to the 2200 block of 42 Street S.E., in the community of Forest Lawn, for reports that a seriously-injured man had been discovered in an alley. 

A spokesperson with EMS said that paramedics responded to the scene. 

EMS confirmed the man to be deceased, reads the police release.

The release said that officers will remain on scene to gather CCTV footage and speak to any potential witnesses. Police say a description of the suspect is not yet available. 

Police are asking anyone with information on the matter to come forward. 

An autopsy will be scheduled for early this week to determine cause of death.
