The historical romance series Bridgerton, which has garnered almost 70 million views across its three-season run on Netflix, is set in the early 1800s London Regency era. The homes and palaces in which the delightful and dastardly characters live immerse the audience into its alternative universe. The aristocratic Bridgerton characters can well afford their posh digs in the story, but if you considered the sticker price of each home in 2024 dollars would it still be the same story?

For example, Queen Charlotte’s home is the real-life Hampton Court Place in the London borough of Richmond Upon Thames. With an estimated 712,054 square feet over four floors, this residence rivals Buckingham Palace and could be listed today for $564 million USD.

The Duke of Hastings character has the second largest of the Bridgerton residences, but it pales next to Charlotte’s humble abode. Located in London, it offers a mere 124,581 square feet and is valued at $47.5 million USD. Meanwhile, the Duke’s country castle, where newlywed characters Daphne and Simon feathered their love nest, is the real-life Castle Howard in North Yorkshire and could fetch $27 million USD.

A home in Greenwich is the fiction home of the Bridgerton clan. Known about town as the Ranger’s House, this 14,621 square foot love shack has an estimated market price of $8.2 million USD.

No. 1 Royal Crescent in Bath, Somerset, now a museum, served as the Featherington household in the series, where fan favourite Penelope hung her hat. The terraced home has 14,338 square feet and will fetch $6,299,044 USD if it was listed today.

Experts at United Kingdom website AgentAdvice.com calculated the estimated market values by multiplying the estimated floor space by the median price per square foot in the neighbourhood of each property.
