Clever Italian wordplay aside, while DOPO and D.O.P. certainly share DNA, it’s best to think of them as brothers rather than twins. Once guests descend a small flight of stairs into the lower-level DOPO located in a swishy new retail development in Marda Loop, they’ll find a rustic Tuscan-style trattoria with a long bar, cozy seating, and photos and artwork depicting both Migliarese’s family and his beloved staff. (There’s also a portrait of The Soprano’s Christopher Moltisanti for those looking for a fun Instagram moment). While the room appears to be more spacious than D.O.P.’s long and thin layout, there aren’t many more seats, with the restaurant maxing out at approximately 42 guests.
