While creating a sense of luxury in a home, space is important, but so are the details.
From both an esthetics and functionality standpoint, the impressive proportions of a show home by Calbridge Homes are optimized.
The award-winning builder is demonstrating its Chapter 4 model in the southeast Calgary lake community of Mahogany. It has four bedrooms and a three-car garage.
Ceilings is an area of emphasis in different ways throughout the home. In the great room, thanks to an open-to-above design, the ceiling soars. This characteristic is known to deliver a feeling of luxury and promote creative thinking.
The corresponding towering walls creates space for many windows, an opportunity we see well-used in this room. There is also a full-height fireplace surrounded in stately stone.
Ceilings receive special treatment in the bonus room and master bedroom, as well. The master boasts a vaulted ceiling with use of beams to elevate visual interest even further. In the rear-facing bonus room, it’s an elegant tray-style design.
Among the home’s other eye-catching touches are arched entryways to spaces including the butler’s pantry, garage and master.

After work, there’s play, in the developed basement. The large rec area is staged with an air hockey table. There’s a walk-up bar with a tile backsplash in this space, as well.
From the rec area, an arched entryway leads to a short hallway with a bedroom, bathroom and exercise room.
