Calgarians commuting into downtown Wednesday morning could see some delays, due to a CTrain collision.

In a post to X just before 7:30 a.m., Calgary Transit said Blue Line trains were running behind schedule due to a police matter. It later said trains had been shut down between Bridgeland and Franklin stations.

Shuttle buses are in place in those areas, according to Calgary Transit.

Callers to the 660 NewsRadio traffic centre report signficant backups on westbound Memorial Drive.

Several emergency vehicles are reportedly on scene and transit riders are being evacuated from the trains.

Calgary police have confirmed it is dealing with a CTrain closure and as a result, Bridgeland Station is closed.

It says drivers should be prepared for delays along eastbound and westbound Memorial Drive.
