Mounties in Okotoks arrested two people snoozing inside a reportedly stolen vehicle from Calgary Thursday, and they now face theft charges.
Calls came in around 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 10 about a suspicious vehicle.
Police say they found a large SUV with a sunshade obscuring the inside view of the vehicle parked on the side of the road. Officers did not disclose where the SUV was.
They found 34-year-old Jordan Scott and 28-year-old Alyssa Abbott, both from Calgary, sleeping inside.
The pair now face multiple charges, including possession of property obtained by crime and possession of break-in instruments.
Abbott faces additional charges related to failing to comply with a probation order and release order, while Scott faces an extra charge for possession of methamphetamine.
Officers say Scott will appear in court on Nov. 8, while Abbott is set to appear in court on Oct. 15.
