Good decision to scrap the Green Line project. If it doesn’t go deep south, there isn’t much good going for it except more taxes and all the crime to follow train lines in this city. Lots of people will grumble, but at $6 billion or $1.5 billion per station, that’s a waste of money, or some cats are getting a lot fatter. It was doomed as soon as SNC got involved, along with our councillors who need a legacy project. Thanks, Neshi, for all the effort and money wasted.

Select governing
Trudeau and his “crew” previously ruled that East Coasters would not have to pay carbon tax on home heating oil, excluding other provinces. Now they are going to boost the price cap for insured mortgages to allow for more first-time buyers to qualify for a mortgage. They are also going to expand its 30-year mortgage amortization to include first-time buyers and any type of home and for newly built homes. Finally a long-awaited move forward, but what about the other millions of homeowners who now must renew their existing mortgages at much higher rates than their existing mortgages? Again, select governing and further economic division amongst the masses! The federal government is well past its prime. Assuming it was ever really there!

Secure Trump
Former president Trump has had two assassination attempts on his life in just two months. The first one in Butler, Pa. was a blatant failure of the Secret Service and local police that has yet to be fully explained. Sunday, there was yet another attempt on his life at his own golf course in Florida. A law enforcement official stated that as a former president he does not qualify for the highest level of security. Biden needs to allow Trump and Harris the highest level of security. Many in the mainstream media refer to Trump often as a threat to democracy and use comparisons to Adolf Hitler. This type of demonization is not helpful. When violent, angry or unbalanced individuals hear these nasty comments, who knows how it could affect them? There are many in the power structure that intensely dislike Trump and will do almost anything to prevent another Trump presidency. We should all hope that this presidential election in November will be decided by the people and their voices and not by an assassin’s bullet.
