A motorcyclist is dead and a stretch of Macleod Trail is shut down following a crash in south Calgary on Wednesday evening.
Calgary police tell CityNews emergency crews responded to a crash involving a car and a motorcyclist on Macleod Trail near 99 Avenue around 6:45 p.m.
The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Macleod is closed in both directions between Southland Drive and Willow Park Drive SE. The closure is expected to last several hours.
