More than 1,000 customers impacted as power outage hits northwest Calgary communities

Power has reportedly gone out in a number of northwest communities on Tuesday morning, including Montgomery, Bowness and Point McKay.

On its website, Enmax has several notices posted regarding unplanned outages in those areas, saying they started at around 7:20 a.m.

Around 1,050 customers in those neighbourhoods are without power, according to the company’s website.

Power is estimated to be restored around 10:30 a.m.

CBC News has reached out to Enmax for a statement. A spokesperson with the company said it is investigating the outages and the cause and will provide an update when more information is available.
