Sights and Sounds: Day One of CPKC Women’s Open in Calgary

Despite the unpredictable weather conditions, fans from Calgary followed Canada’s Brooke Henderson in droves during her opening round of the CPKC Women’s Open at Earl Grey Golf Club.

The 26-year-old, who won the event in 2018, carded a 72 — four strokes back of clubhouse leader Lauren Coughlin. Henderson sunk two birdies on her back nine and had a pair of bogeys.

She finishes even on the day — two birdies, two bogeys. She mentions the tough conditions, especially the wind, and she says she had to make a lot of adjustments from her earlier practice rounds at Earl Grey. pic.twitter.com/taoQpTG4Ui
