Often considered a bellwether for Alberta’s oil and gas industry and the business community as a whole, the canvas auction for the 2024 Calgary Stampede goes Thursday night.
The annual event kicks off the countdown to The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, and dozens of companies and groups will vie for the opportunity to advertise on a chuckwagon canvas at this year’s event.
Last year, bidders raised $2.75 million, which supports drivers and their teams as they compete at the Cowboys Rangeland Derby and throughout the year.
