A man and a woman are facing more than 60 charges after weapons and drugs were seized from a home in the city’s northwest last month.
Calgary police say they began investigating a man in June who was found to be breaching court conditions and learned he was connected to a home in Bowness.
Officers executed a search warrant at the home on June 24 and seized several items:
- A loaded semi-automatic .223 calibre rifle with a prohibited magazine
- A loaded semi-automatic .22 calibre rifle with a drum magazine and the serial number removed
- A loaded .32 calibre revolver with no serial number
- Approximately 115 grams of methamphetamine
- Approximately 188 grams of heroin
- Approximately 80 grams of Fentanyl
- Approximately 10 grams of cocaine
As a result of the search, officers arrested a man and woman in downtown Calgary.
Calgary resident Jeremy Robert Ferguson, 27, is facing more than 40 charges including:
- 18 counts of possession of a weapon contrary to prohibition order
- Two counts of disobeying a court order
- Two counts of failure to comply with a release order
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Three counts of careless storage of a firearm
- Three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Three counts of possession of an unlicensed weapon
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Two counts of possession of a loaded, prohibited firearm
- Three counts of possession of a weapon obtained by crime
- Possession of a firearm with an altered serial number
- Operating a vehicle without a licence
Calgary resident Journey Marie Godbout, 22, is facing more than 20 charges including:
- Two counts of failure to comply with a release order
- Three counts of possession of a weapon contrary to prohibition order
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Three counts of careless storage of a firearm
- Three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Three counts of possession of an unlicensed weapon
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Three counts of possession of a weapon obtained by crime
- Possession of a loaded, prohibited firearm
- Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
- Possession of a firearm with an altered serial number
The pair are scheduled to appear in court later this month.
