Drivers on the QEII north of Calgary Friday afternoon will likely hit a detour on their way out of the city.
Didsbury RCMP say officers are on scene at a vehicle fire on the highway at Township Road 294.
Cpl. Troy Savinkoff confirmed to CityNews the vehicle in question is a semi.
Police say northbound lanes of the QEII are closed as of 12:15 p.m. and are advising those driving in the area to take the Highway 2A exit at Crossfield to bypass the road closure.
