Calgary police say a portion of Barlow Trail will be closed for several hours due to a collision between a van and a motorcycle Friday morning.
Investigators say the crash happened around 10:45 a.m. on Barlow Trail near 66 Avenue SE.
The driver of the motorcycle has been taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, according to police.
In a post to social media just before 11:30 a.m. Friday, the Calgary Police Service (CPS) said the road would be closed in both directions between 61 Avenue and 72 Avenue SE due to a collision for a significant amount of time.

Barlow Trail is closed in both directions between 61st Avenue & 72nd Avenue S.E. due to a collision.
The closure is expected to be in effect for several hours.
