Calgary fire crews rescue unresponsive man from Bow River

A man is in critical condition after being pulled from the Bow River in Calgary on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to an area along the river near the Crowchild Trail NW overpass around 3:45 p.m. after witnesses reported someone floating in the water.

Members of the Calgary Fire Department (CFD) were able to pull the unresponsive man from the water. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

The investigation into how the man ended up in the river is ongoing.
