Off-roading leads to discovery of human bones near Drumheller: RCMP

Human remains were found by a member of the public near Drumheller earlier this month, according to police.

RCMP say they received the reports of the remains on May 5 after someone who was off-roading in a rural area south of Delia, approximately 45 km northeast of Drumheller, made the discovery.

Investigators say the bones were taken of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary who determined they were human. An Anthropologist is working to date the remains.

The investigation is ongoing.
