Cyclist in 60s in critical condition following vehicle collision on Macleod Trail: police

A cyclist has been rushed to hospital in critical condition following a crash with a vehicle on Macleod Trail Sunday, Calgary police say.

Officers tell CityNews they were called to 210 Avenue and Macleod Trail SE at around 11:45 a.m. Sunday for a crash. Details from EMS say the individual was on a bicycle, not a motorcycle as previously reported.

EMS says a man in his mid-60s was rushed to Foothills Hospital.

No other injuries have been reported at this time.

Roads have opened up after several lane closures were in place as police investigated.
