Calgary Flames drop new Andersson Christmas stare down video and fans love it

Rasmus Anderssonโ€™s stare down goal celebration has quickly become popular with Calgary Flames fans.

The 28-year-old, who has scored six goals this season, has adopted a new celebration in which he immediately seeks out a fan in the stands wearing an opposing teamโ€™s jersey and stares them down.

Given how much attention it has received, the Flames chose to create a new stare down video of their own, adding a little holiday twist to it.

On top of the three-minute clip posted on X, they also uploaded a continuous reel of it on YouTube that lasts for over three hours. Even better, they also displayed it in the dressing room this morning.

โ€œHe loves very annoyed,โ€ Mikael Backlund said with a chuckle after todayโ€™s skate. โ€œYou probably noticed how loud Razzy was today. Thatโ€™s because he saw himself all day on every TV screen. He was just like, โ€˜Ya, Iโ€™m the man.’โ€

Just like Backlund, many Flames fans who have come across the holiday edition stare down video are having a good laugh about it.

Flames fans will hope for an Andersson goal tomorrow to see the celebration one final time before the holiday break. The Flames will be taking on the Chicago Blackhawks tomorrow afternoon before a six-day break.
