One student was hurt after being sprayed with pepper spray at a southeast Calgary junior high school Monday, police say.
In a statement to CityNews, police say officers were called to Ernest Morrow School on 47 Street SE around 12:40 p.m. for an incident involving pepper spray.
One student was injured, according to police, and one student was taken into custody.
A short time later, school officials called police again to report they had received a bomb threat.
Multiple police resources attended the scene and found the threat was unfounded.
Calgary police say the investigation into the incident remains ongoing, however, it’s unknown if the incidents are related.
