Wastewater repair work to close part of Calgary’s 14 Street SW starting Friday

City crews doing wastewater system repairs on a popular southwest Calgary road is expected to cause traffic delays starting Friday.

The city says the closure on 14 Street SW between 19 Avenue and Bagot Avenue will start at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 and last until Monday, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m.

Detours will be in effect, but delays in the area are expected, so city officials are encouraging drivers to find an alternative route, if possible.

Workers will be proactively replacing a piece of infrastructure in the wastewater sewer system in the area.
