More cucumbers are being recalled across Canada due to possible salmonella contamination.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall notice for SunFed brand field cucumbers that have been sold between October 12 and November 29, 2024, inclusively.
The cucumbers may have been sold loose or in bulk, with or without a brand name and may be labelled Produce of Mexico.

The impacted cucumbers are believed to have been distributed in Alberta, BC, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and possibly other provinces and territories.
According to the CFIA, the recall has been triggered by a recall in another country, and there have been no reported illnesses related to the consumption of the product in Canada.
The agency is currently conducting a food safety investigation, which could lead to the recall of more products.
Last week, a consumer advisory was issued regarding all sizes of SunFed whole fresh American cucumbers in bulk cardboard containers labelled with “SunFed,” in generic white boxes, or in black plastic crates with a sticker with the implicated grower’s name “Agrotato, S.A. de C.V.”
