Canadian tennis star Felix Auger-Aliassime is officially off the market.
The 24-year-old, who is set to headline the Adelaide International in January, took to Instagram this morning to announce his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Nina Ghaibi.
“Couldn’t have dreamt of a better forever,” he captioned the post.
Congratulations have already started rolling in, including from Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas, who is currently ranked 11th in the world.
“Finally, someone to share a Netflix password with forever,” he wrote. “Congratulations Felix! ”
The young and happy couple have been together for quite some time, dating back to at least 2019, based on several Instagram posts.
Auger-Aliassime has been Canada’s biggest tennis star for some time now, having been ranked as high as sixth in the world. He currently sits at 29th.
He has had many great accomplishments in his tennis career, including a bronze medal win in mixed doubles with Gaby Dabrowski at the Paris 2024 Olympics. It marked the first time in 24 years that Canada was able to medal in Olympic tennis.
While Auger-Aliassime may be the more well-known name, Ghaibi is a successful athlete herself.
Ghaibi is an equestrian, having had a passion for horses from a very young age based on numerous Instagram posts. She even competed in the Morocco Royal Tour, an international showjumping competition, back in 2017.
It appears that she still competes, as the latest post of her horseback riding came less than two months ago.
Canadians who have grown to love Auger-Aliassime will now eagerly await to learn more about the newly engaged couple, including a potential wedding date.
