A popular Yemeni cafe franchise has opened its first Canadian outpost, and you can find it right here in Calgary.
Qamaria Yemini Cafe has just opened at 1441 17th Avenue SW, where it is celebrating the rich heritage of Yemeni coffee.
The chain was founded by entrepreneurs Hatem and Munif, who worked to build a supply chain to source coffee directly from Yemen. Coffee served at Qamaria is sourced from the Haraz region, which is known for its unique elevation, soil, and climate.
Qamaria offers a wide range of sips and sweets that take inspiration from the Middle East, such as its signature pistachio lattes, which can be served hot or iced or its Adeni tea.
There are also plenty of delicious bites, including its honeycomb pastry and the viral pistachio knafeh chocolate.
If you’re on the hunt for coffee shops that stay open late, Qamaria is open until 11 pm Sunday through Thursday and until 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
