Eight Calgary companies make list of Canada’s top 100 employers

If you’re on the hunt for a new job in Calgary, eight local companies just made it on the list of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.

Mediacorp recently released its list of Canada’s top 100 employers for 2025, and eight Calgary-based companies, including Canada Energy Regulator, Enbridge Inc., and Dentons Canada LLP, made the prestigious list.

Editors review employers on eight criteria: work environment, work atmosphere and communications, financial benefits and compensation, health and family-friendly benefits, vacation and personal time off, employee engagement and performance, training and skills development, and community involvement.

Canada Energy Regulator was selected for various reasons, including its support of employees in “balancing their day-to-day commitments with up to five paid family leave days per year,” while Dentons Canada LLP was touted for facilitating “two-way communication through small group listening sessions hosted weekly by the firm’s CEO.”

Enbridge Inc. was applauded for providing community project grants of up to $1,000 annually for goods or supplies required to support a volunteer project,” while Graham Construction was selected due to it being “100% employee-owned and supports an ownership mentality through a share purchase plan, available to all employees.”

Inter Pipeline Ltd. landed on the list thanks to how it helps employees balance work with personal and family commitments with 12 paid flex days each year, while Keyera Corp. was highlighted thanks to its flexible health benefits plan, with employees receiving an additional $3,500 that can be used to top up coverages or transferred to their salary.

Canada’s Top 100 Employers also picked Mawer Investment Management Ltd., writing that the company “helps full-time employees become owners through a share purchase plan and assists all employees in planning ahead with retirement planning services and generous matching RSP contributions.”

Last but not least, Shell Canada Limited made the cut in part to providing up to five days of emergency backup childcare services annually through a corporate partnership with Kids + Company.
