A section of Highway 22 south of Calgary is shut down in both directions following a crash on Tuesday.
Claresholm RCMP say emergency crews responded to a collision on the highway five kilometres north of Highway 520.
There is no word on any injuries.
“Highway 22 is impassable in both north and southbound directions,” reads a release from police. “Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.”
Mounties say the road will be shut down for several hours as they investigate and police will update when the highway reopens.
