After nearly four decades with Global Calgary, longtime weather anchor Paul Dunphy has announced he will be leaving the station.
Dunphy is well known for his time on Global News at 5 and Global News Hour at 6, when he gave Calgarians all they needed to know about the weather. After 39 years, he is set to retire.
He has also been a broadcaster for 49 years and got his start in radio in 1974, and had the pleasure of working with broadcasting legend Ed Whalen when he first arrived in Calgary.
Dunphy was also a recipient of the RTDNA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021.
You still have a little over a month before Dunphy is off your television screens – his last broadcast will be on December 23.
