Someone in Canada woke up $1 million richer after lottery win

A lucky lottery player just woke up a million dollars richer after a successful Lotto 6/49 draw.

The Gold Ball was not drawn, so unfortunately, no one won the $24 million jackpot.

However, the eighth White Ball was drawn and a lottery player from Ontario matched all of the winning numbers (53246567-04), taking home the $1 million prize.

The winning numbers for the Classic Draw prize were 02, 11, 18, 21, 23, 25, and bonus 26.

While no one won the $5 million jackpot, there were still plenty of wins to celebrate.

Four Canadians — one from Ontario and three from Quebec — matched five of the winning numbers, including the bonus, to split the second prize. They’re each taking home $27,553.60.

The winning numbers for the Classic Draw Extra prize were 42, 50, 54, and 70. Sadly, no one beat the odds to take home the $500,000 top prize; however, 50 Canadians matched three of the winning numbers to take home a modest $1,000 each.

Didn’t have luck on your side this time around? The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Saturday, November 9 with a jackpot of $26 million.

There’s also the Lotto Max draw on Friday, November 8. The jackpot is at a whopping $55 million with four Maxmillions up for grabs.

You could end up like these two friends of 30 years who split a huge lottery prize.

Or this lottery player who won a big enough windfall that she felt comfortable buying a car without even asking for the price.

Francine Thibodeau and her roommate Johanne Bergeron won the Lotto 6/49 Classic Jackpot worth $5 million in the October 12 draw.

Thibodeau told Loto-Québec that she’s finally treating herself to the car of her dreams — a Jeep!

When she called the dealership to order the vehicle, Thibodeau felt she didn’t even need to ask for the price thanks to their huge lottery prize.
