The magical Polar Express train ride near Calgary is back soon

All aboard the Polar Express! A version of the magical train from the beloved book and movie will be rolling into town this holiday season.

Hop on the train at Aspen Crossing and travel to the North Pole, complete with hot cocoa, cookies, and movie characters. As the journey begins, passengers will be entertained by a reading of The Polar Express.

Once you get to the “North Pole,” you’ll be greeted by Santa himself, and each child will receive their own sleigh bell, just like in the movie, “for those who believe.”

From carolling to holiday entertainment, the Polar Express is an incredible experience for the whole family, kicking off this season at Aspen Crossing, less than an hour south of downtown Calgary.

Tickets are now available for weekend journeys starting near the end of November, with even more dates on offer as we approach December 24.

This festive experience is known to sell out fast — especially the closer we get to Christmas — so grabbing your golden ticket for the hour-long train ride sooner rather than later is definitely recommended.

Where: Box 30, Mossleigh, Alberta (one kilometre west of Mossleigh on Highway #24)
When: Fridays to Sundays, November 22 to December 15 and December 16 to 24
Tickets: Available online, varies by day and train
