After winning $10,000 twice, father of three nabs even bigger lottery prize

An Ontario lottery player was lucky enough to beat the odds not once, or twice, but three times.

Newmarket resident Louis Vader is $250,000 richer after winning a top prize with the Instant Monopoly lottery game.

The father of three enjoys playing a variety of Instant games and is no stranger to winning big, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

He previously won $10,000 on two separate occasions with the Instant Bigger Spin.

The 72-year-old shared more about how he discovered his biggest win yet while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his lottery windfall.

“I played my ticket and could see right away that I had won,” Vader recounted. “I headed to the store to have it checked there just to be sure. I was still shocked when my win was confirmed. It was hard to believe!”

The dad has some important plans with his prize. He wants to pay some bills, help his family, and buy a car.

“I shared the news with my wife and kids, and they were just as surprised,” Vader smiled. “Winning again has been unbelievable, but it feels great!”

He bought the winning ticket at Circle K on Dufferin Street in North York.

Vader isn’t the only lottery player who has won more than once.

Franco Stirpe is a father and grandfather who works as a machine operator and lives in Woodbridge, Ontario. He enjoys playing a variety of instant lottery games, with one of his favourites being the Instant 50K Casino.

“When I played my ticket, I thought I might have a small win but was shocked when I realized I won big,” said Stirpe.

It must’ve felt like déjà vu because it’s not the first time he won — in 2019, he won a $10,000 lottery prize and never thought he’d ever win again.

Maybe their luck will rub off on you.
