Alberta woman hit in the face with hen egg on Halloween, RCMP investigating

RCMP in northern Alberta are investigating after a woman was hit in the face with a hen egg while handing out candy Halloween night.

Mounties say on Halloween at 10 pm, Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a report of mischief and assault in the area of Kateri Drive in Grande Prairie.

The investigation determined that a female had been struck in the face with force with an egg, as she was handing out candy to children in the doorway of her home.

Witnesses on scene told police that the egg was thrown from a pick-up truck that was seen speeding away from the scene and police say as a result of the egg, the female had to be taken to the hospital where she was treated and later released with non-life-threatening injuries to her face.

The suspect vehicle is described as full size, possibly beige or blue, and last seen speeding away southbound on Kateri Drive.

Grande Prairie RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who may have dash camera or home security footage captured on Halloween between 9:40 and 10 pm in the area of Kateri Drive between 74th Avenue and 68th Avenue, to contact them at 780-830-5701.
