Calgary under fog advisory: Environment Canada

The City of Calgary is under a fog advisory Friday morning.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issued an alert just after 4:30 a.m.

It says areas of dense fog with near zero visibility will continue through the early morning.

Conditions are expected to improve in the late morning.

ECCC says visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero and travel is expected to be hazardous in some areas as a result.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights, and be prepared to stop.
