Mounties in northern Alberta are looking for suspects after a dog was fatally shot outside a property on Wednesday.
Cold Lake RCMP say officers were called to a home on a rural road between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. for reports of gunshots.
A homeowner found their dog dead shortly after the shots were fired and moments before saw a pickup truck enter their driveway and turnaround, police say.
Investigators tell CityNews there is no indication that the homeowner and suspects were known to each other.
The truck is described as a newer model white Ram four-door pickup truck with nothing covering the box, and a small logo on the driver and passenger doors.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
