Soul Asylum singer gets set for Calgary Stampede stop

Alternative rockers Soul Asylum rose up out of the punk scene in Minneapolis in the early 80s.

The band broke out and won a Grammy for their 1992 album ‘Grave Dancer’s Union’ which features some of their biggest hits like ‘Runaway Train,’ ‘Black Gold,’ and ‘Somebody to Shove.’

660’s Todd Kaufman sat down with lead singer Dave Pirner ahead of their stop at The Big Four Roadhouse on Friday, July 12.
